Comilla Victorians vs Dhaka Dominators Latest Standings After Match 22

Comilla Victorians, led by Amarul Keyes, are slowly but surely climbing the ladder in the ongoing edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). After losing their first three matches, the Victorians are currently on a four match winning streak.

On Monday (January 23), the Victorians defeated Nasir Hussain’s Dhaka Dominators by 60 runs at the Sher Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. They are third in the table with eight points and a net run rate of +0.423.

The Dominators, on the other hand, continue to languish at the bottom of the table with two points and a net run rate of -1.357.

Comilla won their fourth consecutive match in BPL 2023.

After coming in to bat first, the Victorians put a decent score of 164 for six on the board. Their batsmen put in a collective effort and took them to a healthy total. Jaker Ali’s cameo of 20 off 10 balls took the Victorians to 160 runs. Khushdil Shahwho has been in jaw-dropping form of late, played a 17-ball 30 with two fours and as many sixes.

Dominators captain Nasir led from the front after picking up two crucial wickets of Liton Das and Mossadegh Hussain Saikat.

The Dominators failed big time in their run chase and were restricted to 104 for nine in 20 overs. Usman Ghana briefly threatened with 33 off 34 balls but after that Johnson Charles By dismissing him, Dhaka’s innings collapsed completely.

Naseem Shah was outstanding as he finished with figures of 4-0-12-4. The Pakistani speedster remained unplayable and took the important wickets of Mizan-ur-Rehman, Muhammad MithanMukhtar Ali, et al Ameer Hamza.

Left-arm spinner Khushdal also took the wickets of Nasir Hussain. Arif Haque. Abu Haider Rooney and Moqeedul Islam Magdhu took one wicket each.
