Met Police’s new disgrace as school officer, 22, admits to having sex with 14-year-old girl

Sarah Ellis, defending Chehab, said the images came from her membership of chat groups on her device, adding that she did not find the images of the youngest children herself.

‘He would say yes he was interested in teenagers but he wasn’t interested in children under the age of two,’ she told the court.

Woodgreen Crown Court (pictured) also heard that the officer was found to be 882 and had indecent images of children playing on his device while a Met officer.

Judge John Dodd, KC, released him on bail under strict conditions that he must not contact his victim or have unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18.

But he warned Chehab, from Barnet, north London, that he faced a long prison sentence.

Judge Dodd said, ‘You have admitted some very serious offenses and I don’t want you to be under the impression – you should prepare yourself for a prison sentence.’

Chehab was arrested in July 2021 before being charged in September last year.

His offenses come as the Met is urgently investigating nearly 1,100 officers and staff who have received complaints of domestic abuse or sexual abuse over the past decade in the wake of the Carrick scandal.

Last Monday, firearms officer Carrick, 48, pleaded guilty to 49 charges against a dozen women, including 24 counts of rape during a 17-year spree of horrific crimes.
