A Richmond High School teacher is being savaged online after allegedly throwing a student to the ground and kicking him out of the classroom. The teacher is no longer employed by the institution. The incident is currently under investigation by the West Contra Costa Unified School District.
A video of the altercation was taken on Monday, January 23. In the viral footage, the Richmond school teacher can be heard yelling in the child’s face – “Say it again.” Some social media users alleged that the school employee took the extreme step after the student called him the n-word. After which there was a heated argument between the two.
The Richmond High teacher can be seen bracing herself with her arms behind her. However, as things got tense as he and the student continued to argue, the Richmond High School teacher suddenly grabbed the young man by his clothes and forced him to the ground. Fellow students were heard gasping in shock and trying to remove themselves from the situation. The teacher then grabbed the student again and pushed him into the hallway. Then the teacher said:
“Get out of my class.”
Authorities had not confirmed that the student had used a racial slur against the Richmond High teacher at the time of writing. It has also not been confirmed if the student was injured or if any disciplinary action was taken.
