Jalen Hurts threw for two touchdowns and ran for another as the top-seeded Philadelphia Eagles dominated the New York Giants 38-7 to clinch their spot in the NFC Championship Game.

The story of the game

Hurts finished with 154 yards passing, completing 16 of 24 attempts, and 34 yards on the ground for the Eagles, who now face either the No. 2 seed, the San Francisco 49ers, or their NFC East divisional rival. The rival, the Dallas Cowboys, will host the Next Sunday’s conference title game.

It was an Eagles run game that the Giants had no answer for. Philadelphia gained a whopping 268 yards in the contest.

Kenneth Gainville had a career-high 112 yards on 12 carries, including a 35-yard burst for a TD late in the game, while Myles Sanders had 90 on 17 attempts. And, as well, as Hurts’ rushing score, Boston’s Scott also found the end zone for an astounding 11th time in eight career games against the Giants.

Scott made it 21-0 from the three-yard line midway through the second quarter, while Hurts’ five-yard scoring scamper with 48 seconds left Philly up 28-0 and practically the game. What was the end? The Eagles outgained the Giants 258-64 in the first half, with 18 first downs to just three.

New York capped a run of four straight three-and-outs on offense with an 88-yard scoring drive in the second half, capped by a 39-yard run by Saquon Barkley. The Giants star running back later took a direct snap downfield at the eight-yard line and handed it to Matt Breda for the visitors’ first and only TD of the game.

The Eagles had a quiet third quarter, but they ran off more than half the clock in the fourth quarter with a 15-play, 70-yard drive that ended with Jake Elliott’s 30-yard field goal before Gainville’s late touchdown. Score applied the finishing touch. For a great win.
